This was a WedVibes editorial at Villa Balbiano. This time, I was invited not as the company’s creative director, but as a second lead photographer, helping participants on set and showing them how to work with models, light, and the villa’s key iconic spots.
Villa Balbiano is the same place where Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci was filmed, along with campaigns for different brands. Inside a location like this, it is very easy to fall into postcard slop, but I wanted to find a different mood: darker, dirtier, more fashion-forward, with the feeling of a hidden scene.
Here are a few moments from the key part of the event, followed by my own mini-set that did not make it into the main editorial. I photographed it in a more dark fashion key, while the polished campaign-style mood by the other photographers can be seen on WedVibes.
