This was not my first time in Nice. Last time, I was here near Cannes. This time, I came for a wedding project somewhere between Monaco and Nice itself.
I asked Jane to spend a week here with me and celebrate our anniversary on the Côte d’Azur. What could be better than combining love for the woman you love with love for your craft.
These are the trips I love the most. When there is a reason to create a project or photograph a destination wedding, and at the same time discover new places.
You start seeing differently. Feeling differently.
New connections with people and places boost my creativity and inspire me. Every trip and every shoot helps me overcome an older version of myself.
That is why travel feels so alive to me.
Nice gave me that feeling again.
A mix of aesthetics, heat, gratitude and pleasant exhaustion.
Like heaven for a second, then a mirage again when you fly back home.
All of this gives me a feeling of love for life, for people, for my work and for my own inner growth.
The process makes me happy.
This time, it was hot.
Honestly, too hot.
My previous trip, shooting Coco Rocha on the Cannes Gala red carpet.
Every time, the city touches a different part of me.
The same city, but not the same feeling.
Two different seasons - different vibes.
